Abbey Everson
Ski racing has been a huge part of Abbey's life for as long as she can remember. She grew up skiing in the ski league her parents own and operate, Ski Challenge, and apparently was in her first race at the age of 5 - although she has no recollection of this. In 7th grade, she joined the Prior Lake High School ski team, which was fewer than 10 skiers strong at the time. After six years on the team and two years as Captain, by the time she graduated in 2013, the team had grown to more than 30 racers and is still going strong today. After high school, Abbey attended St. Olaf College, where she was able to ski on the storied Alpine Ski Team there - one of the only varsity programs in the Midwest. Here she was lucky enough to get to travel to several camps in Colorado and experience USCSA, USSS and for the first time, FIS races. She was fortunate enough to meet some of her best friends on the ski team at Olaf and she still gets to ski with them today! Nowadays, she gets to ski more than ever - racing on multiple Ski Challenge teams and getting to as many Masters races as possible. Winters are jam-packed, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Abbey joined the Midwest Masters board in the fall of 2025 and is excited to become even more involved in the ski racing community!
