Joe started skiing in junior high with the ski club and started ski racing shortly after that. He went to college at RockMount college and raced on their Alpine team. After finishing college he started coaching Dteam at Trollhaugen, Dresser WI and has been a coach there for over 40 years. He currently holds his US Ski & Snowboard Level 200 Coach license. He also maintains active US Ski & Snowboard Official licenses in TD, Referee, Timing, Chief of Race, Chief of Course. Joe is also active in officiating the MN HS league as TD for the NWSC conference and also running the MN HS Section 4 meet.
